Tŷ Hiraeth
Tŷ Hiraeth is the gathering place Hiraeth was always building toward: not a fan club, not a velvet rope, but a house with the door open. It's for the Welsh at home, watching the world discover their country a little late. It's for the Welsh abroad, carrying a longing for home in a language most of their neighbors have never heard spoken. And it's for everyone in between, arriving by whatever door they found.
We build that home through story, apparel, and film, and we build it in partnership: with Welsh cultural organizations, diaspora networks, and government bodies working toward the same goal from the other side of the Atlantic.
Welsh at Home
Living in Wales, watching your own culture get “discovered” by strangers, and wanting a hand in how that story gets told.
Welsh Abroad
Diaspora carrying a piece of Wales through an American life, a name people mispronounce, a coastline seen only in photographs.
Found Through DNA
You sent off a cheek swab expecting one answer and got a great-great-grandparent from Merthyr instead. Now what?
The Curious
You found us through Welcome to Wrexham, or the clip of Michael Sheen roaring the team on before kickoff. That's a fine place to start. Come further in.
If you're working to keep Welsh culture, language, and identity alive for communities abroad, we'd like to build something together inside Tŷ Hiraeth. Cultural programming, cross-promotion, storytelling, we're open to the conversation.
